Devin Haney’s promoter hopes Gervonta Davis or Vasiliy Lomachenko are open to facing the unbeaten WBC world lightweight champion next.

Eddie Hearn stated during his most recent appearance on “The DAZN Boxing Show” that Haney has resisted signing a new exclusive contract with DAZN so that there aren’t any network or streaming service conflicts that could prevent either of those fights from happening later this year. Las Vegas’ Haney (26-0, 15 KOs) wants either of those fights if he isn’t first forced to make a mandated defense of his 135-pound crown against Joseph Diaz Jr.

“When we say Devin Haney hasn’t re-signed with DAZN, Devin Haney, you know, I see him, he’s a DAZN fighter,” Hearn told co-hosts Barak Bess and Akin Reyes. “And he will re-sign with DAZN and he wants to re-sign with DAZN. But at the same time, we try not to give anyone excuses as to why those fights can’t happen. Do you know what I mean? So, like there’s no reason why Leonard Ellerbe and Team Tank don’t reach out and say would he fight Gervonta Davis? The answer is yes.”

The 22-year-old Haney’s past five fights have been streamed by DAZN.

He defeated former three-division champion Jorge Linares by unanimous decision in his most recent appearance. Linares (47-6, 29 KOs) buzzed Haney late in the 10th round, but the Oakland native withstood that trouble and outpointed the Venezuelan veteran by scores of 116-112, 116-112 and 115-113 on May 29 at Mandalay Bay’s Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.

Haney realizes he must box Diaz next if that’s the fight Diaz wants.

Diaz (31-1-1, 15 KOs), of Downey, California, is the WBC interim lightweight champion and the mandatory challenger for Haney’s title. The 2012 U.S. Olympian also is exploring the possibility, however, of facing Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) in his next bout.

Baltimore’s Davis (25-0, 24 KOs) is expected to headline another Showtime Pay-Per-View main event at some point from mid-October to late in October.

The left-handed knockout artist stopped San Antonio’s Mario Barrios (26-1, 17 KOs) in the 11th round of his last fight, Davis’ 140-pound debut June 26 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Davis, who holds the WBA’s secondary lightweight title, will likely return to the lightweight limit of 135 pounds for his next fight.

Ukraine’s Lomachenko likely will headline an ESPN card December 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Lomachenko (15-2, 11 KOs), a former champion in three weight classes, most recently dominated Japan’s Masayoshi Nakatani (19-2, 13 KOs) on his way to a ninth-round, technical-knockout victory June 26 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
