Eddie Hearn, the promoter for IBF, WBO, WBA, IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, would be shocked if a unification with WBC champion Tyson Fury did not come off in 2022.

A few months ago, the two sides were in talks to collide on a date in August in Saudi Arabia.

Their negotiations fell out, when he an arbitrator ordered Fury to honor a rematch clause due to Deontay Wilder.

Joshua will now defend his belts against mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And Fury will face Wilder for a third time on October 9th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Provided both champions win, they will be in line to collide in the first half of 2022.

However, Hearn explains that he doesn't have a lot of faith in Fury's team.

When they were in talks earlier this year, Hearn claims that his company did all of the legwork to get a deal done - with little to no help from Top Rank and Frank Warren, who co-promote Fury.

"I had zero support from Fury's team to get that fight made," Hearn told the BBC Sport's 'The Final Say.'

"I don't want to speak badly about Fury's team, but I don't trust them. Really, we've got to look after ourselves and our own business, which is Oleksandr Usyk. The only thing that matters right now is that fight.

"I believe that Tyson Fury would fight Anthony Joshua. We know it's the biggest financial fight in boxing. I know for a fact AJ would fight Tyson Fury. I would be shocked if both won their upcoming fights and we didn't see that fight."
