Eddie Hearn gets back to work with Edgar Berlanga in their second fight together this Saturday in Orlando, Florida.

Berlanga takes on his second consecutive Irishman in Padraig McCrory in the main-event from the Caribe Royale in Orlando, live on DAZN.

The Puerto Rican New Yorker scored a wide 12-round unanimous-decision over Ballybofey’s Jason Quigley in his Matchroom debut at Madison Square Garden last June.

“I’m being told by everyone that knows him that he’s got a massive chance,” Hearn said of McCrory. “He’s a huge puncher, he’s got big balls, and the fight is called ‘Shootout’, and that’s exactly what it is going to be.”

Belfast’s McCrory (18-0, 9 KOs) comes into the clash of undefeated super middleweights off the back of a 10-round decision win over Steed Woodall last August. His career highlight came in 2022, when he moved up to light heavyweight to defeat Leon Bunn by sixth-round stoppage in Frankfurt, Germany.

“Berlanga is a pig puncher as well,” Hearn continued. “These two are going to meet in the middle of the ring. I think the fight this Saturday in Orlando is going to be fantastic. A lot of people give Padraig McCrory a big chance on Saturday night, and it would be life changing for him to win that fight.”

Berlanga’s perfect knockout record has evaporated in his last five fights. He had previously scored 16 first-round knockouts in as many fights to start his career.

“We’ve done one fight together, the Quigley fight,” Hearn added. “He’s a big star. He looks the part, he sells a lot of tickets, he has a huge following in Puerto Rico and the US. He needs to shine on Saturday to be calling out Canelo, the [Jaime] Munguias and those type of people. I think he has worked hard to put in a big performance.”
