Eddie Hearn is fully prepared to match former world champions, Kell Brook and Liam Smith, in a big domestic showdown.

Earlier this month, Smith was ringside when Brook snapped a 14 month layoff with a knockout of Mark DeLuca in Sheffield.

Both Brook and Smith are aiming to win a world title in the junior middleweight division.

Their desire to win a world title is a big stumbling block for the bout - since they want to face each other, but at the same time they would prefer to compete for a world title.

"There's a few different discussions going on about fights at 147 and 154 [for Brook]. We love the all-British fight with Liam Smith as well, but both guys want to fight for world championships as well," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"I kind of feel like, if they can get that shot, that would take priority over that domestic clash, but that is there, that is ready to be made."

And Hearn would still like to make the showdown that many believe will never happen, a grudge match between Brook and Amir Khan.

Khan has been inactive since last July and expects to fight again at some point in the year.

While Khan continues to mention Brook as a potential option, there is no guarantee that fight will ever happen.

"That's another fight that is out there for me, just like people are talking about the Fury and AJ fight," said Khan. "Mine and Brook's fight has been talked about for a very, very long time, but it just never seems to materialise.

"I leave it to the promoters, they have a sit down, if everything goes well, and then everything falls right through. I think this is the final year. If it doesn't happen this year, I don't think it's ever going to happen, but I would want it to happen. I am in talks with Eddie and I'd love to sit down with them."
