Promoter Eddie Hearn was very pleased with the in-ring action that he witnessed in the battle of Youtubers,  as KSI won six round split decision over social media rival Logan Paul in a pr boxing match on Saturday at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

In a slugfest between the two inexperienced fighters, KSI got the decision on the scorecards in a wild fight. Two judges scored the fight 57-54, 56-55 in favor over KSI, while one had it 56-55 for Paul.

The big controversy took place in the fourth round, when Paul lost two points for holding and hitting to score a knockdown of KSI, and then hitting KSI while he was down.

Earlier in the fight, KSI appeared to score a clean knockdown, but it was waved off by the referee who thought it was a slip.

While world champions Devon Haney and Billy Joe Saunders saw action on the undercard, Hearn felt the Youtubers stole the show.

"The crazy thing about this sport is that we wanted to bring in professional boxing with this circus, if you like. We wanted to showcase to this audience what’s great about the sport, and those guys KSI and Logan Paul ended up showcasing it," Hearn said.

"The Devin Haney fight was great, Billy Joe Saunders came back from behind to win by knockout - but that fight [between KSI and Paul] was everything that’s great about boxing and we ended up seeing that from two Youtubers. Everyone gave them stick from the boxing community, but now you have to give them respect. I thought it was absolutely brilliant."
