Promoter Eddie Hearn is disgusted with the recent news that heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller failed a second drug test.

Late Wednesday night, Miller said he never knowingly took a banned substance and planned to appeal a decision to revoke his licence over an adverse finding from a doping test ahead of his heavyweight title fight with Anthony Joshua.

Miller, who was due to fight WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world champion Joshua on June 1 in New York, wrote on his Instagram account he was devastated upon hearing his boxing license was revoked in New York State.

But on Friday it was revealed that Miller had failed a separate drug test - this time coming up positive for HGH [Human Growth Hormone].

The first failed test, from March 20th, saw Miller come up positive for the banned substance GW1516, which boosts endurance and helps athletes burn fat. The date of the second test has not been disclosed as of yet.

"I have never knowingly taken any banned substance and when I found out the news last night I was totally shocked," Miller said on Instagram.

"My team and I stand for integrity, decency & honesty and together we will stand to fight this with everything we have! Remember don't believe everything you hear and see. The facts will prevail and I shall be vindicated. I don't have anything to hide and the truth will make itself known."

Hearn, who promotes Joshua, was giving Miller the benefit of the doubt after the first failed test - but that is no longer the case.

"I can confirm we have been notified of another failed test. I am disgusted. You want to give someone the benefit of the doubt and that was very hard after the first one. To have a second one is disgusting. The sport can have no room for this," Hearn said to Daily Mail.

"In a way I am happy - it shows the VADA testing works and we have kept him out of the ring. AJ will face any clean fighter and beat him."
