Matchroom Chairman, Eddie Hearn, has claimed that former four division world champion Adrien Broner has rejected two offers to face unbeaten welterweight contender Conor Benn.

Benn called for a showdown with the former four-weight world champion after beating Adrian Granados by unanimous decision earlier this month.

Broner has not fought since a unanimous decision win over Jovanie Santiago in February. That fight was the first for Broner since losing a twelve round unanimous decision to Manny Pacquiao in January of 2019.

It was also Broner's first victory since 2017, which ironically was a twelve round split decision over Granados.

Hearn has made attempts to secure Broner, but so far the veteran has declined two offers to face the rising British star.

“I’ve made Adrien Broner two offers now to fight Conor Benn,” Hearn told Pro Boxing Fans.

“Both have been rejected. We’ll see if we can find the money.”

Benn (19-0, 12 KOs), the son of British legend Nigel Benn, has already seen action twice in 2021 - with the victory over Granados and a brutal first round knockout of Samuel Vargas in April.

As BoxingScene.com recently reported, Benn is going to see action in December as part of the undercard to the heavyweight rematch between former WBO champion Joseph Parker and tough contender Derek Chisora.
