Matthew Hatton arrives in South Africa on Tuesday to challenge Chris van Heerden for his IBO welterweight title.

The British fighter and his retinue will be accompanied by light-heavyweight Mattie Clarkson, who meets former SA champion Tshepang Mohale on the same bill at the Sandton Convention Centre on March 2.

Showpony Promotions announced on Monday that the card had been finalized.

Hatton, the younger brother of former champion Ricky Hatton, drew in a previous challenge for the IBO title and has vowed to "make no mistake this time".

Van Heerden, who has become one of the main drawcards in SA boxing over the past year, has set his sights on winning the title of one of the "big four" organisations and is adamant that Hatton will not upset his plans.

On the same bill, Osborne Machimane takes on Elvis Moyo in his quest to regain the SA heavyweight title.

Two former SA welterweights, Isaac Hlatswayo and Kaizer Mabuza, will have an opportunity to rekindle their fading careers.

The five-bout programme will begin with a welterweight fight between Lobande Batele and Mthobisi Buthelezi.
