Coldwell Boxing’s maiden show of 2014 scheduled for February 7th at the fantastic Ice Sheffield received a significant boost today as Bolton’s Haroon Khan was added to the card as he looks to add another victory to his flawless ledger. The 2010 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist returns to the city where he made his professional debut last spring and event promoter, Dave Coldwell, is delighted to have the super-flyweight protégé boxing on his card.

“I’ve known of Haroon Khan since he was a young lad and he’s always been a boxer that has impressed me,” beamed Coldwell. “When boxing as an amateur, Haroon always competed at a high level and he’s got the scalps of some quality operators on his record including Andrew Selby. That just shows you the type of talent you’re dealing with. He’s made a solid start to his professional journey and he’ll be looking to keep that form up when he turns out on Coldwell Boxing’s first show of the year. It’s an absolute pleasure to be working with him and his team.”

Coldwell added, “Haroon being added to the bill is great news for anyone who’s bought a ticket or is planning on buying one. Top of the bill is a cracking Yorkshire derby between Nav Mansouri and Matthew Mallin for Nav’s English title and there’s another Sheffield v Barnsley scrap between Dave Fidler and Lee Noble on the undercard.  There’s also a chance to see Rod Smith in action following his cracking win over Liam Cameron last month. The show is shaping up really nice and it’s a great way for Coldwell Boxing to begin the year.”
