Karachi - Pakistani Boxer Haroon Shahid Iqbal Khan won it’s first int’l bout in ongoing common wealth games at New Delhi India Haroon beat Elyas Sunday by the 12-1 in 52kg weight category and qualified for pre quarter final.

Haroon Khan is a British born Pakistan Oregon boxer and younger brother of World Champion British Boxer Amir Khan he is representing Pakistan in common wealth games.

Six boxers have representing Pakistan in commonwealth games the other boxers in the boxing team are Mohammad Waseem (49kg), Qadir Khan (56kg), Nawaz Dad (60kg), Nisar Khan (75kg) and Mir Waiz Khan (91+kg) weight category.

Nawaz Dad will fight against Sogbamu Waheed (Nigeria) tomorrow (6th October) in 60kg and Muahammad Waseem will face Tennakoon Chaminda (Sri Lanka) in pre-quarter final of 49kg weight category on 7th October.

Pakistan and India are two neighboring countries and both are old rival, now Pakistan and India will fight each other in boxing ring at the Commonwealth games on 7th October at New Delhi

Pakistani Boxer Qadir Khan will fight against Defending Champion in 56kg weight category Akhil Kumar (India) Akhil also a Gold medalist of 2008 Beijing Olympics Qualifying round at Bangkok he was played Quarter Final of Beijing Olympics.

Nisar Khan (75kg) will fight against Papua New Guinea boxer Michal Petar on 6th October and Mir Waiz Khan (91+) will face a boxer who is from Tramanded, total 229 boxers from 49 countries are participating in New Delhi boxing Event.
