Devin Haney has heard just about enough from Vasiliy Lomachenko and his team since Saturday night.

Haney lambasted Lomachenko by calling him a “f------ sore loser” in a Tweet he sent out Wednesday morning in response to Lomachenko’s complaints about the scoring of their 12-round lightweight title fight. The undefeated, undisputed lightweight champion beat Lomachenko on all three scorecards in a closely contested bout at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Egis Klimas, Lomachenko’s longtime manager, intends to file an official protest with the Nevada State Athletic Commission due to the scoring of their ESPN Pay-Per-View main event.

Judges Tim Cheatham (115-113), Dave Moretti (116-112) and David Sutherland (115-113) all scored Haney the winner.

Klimas revealed during Lomachenko’s post-fight press conference that he objected to the assignment of Moretti to the Haney-Lomachenko bout. The 78-year-old Moretti scored seven of the last nine rounds and eight overall for Haney, including the 10th round, which Lomachenko seemingly won decisively.

Klimas already has petitioned the IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO to rank Lomachenko as its number one contender after his close loss to Haney. Though neither Lomachenko nor his team expect Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) to grant him a rematch, a number one ranking would leave Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) in position to fight for a vacant championship if Haney gives up his lightweight titles to compete in the 140-pound division in his next fight.

Haney, of Henderson, Nevada, was respectful toward Ukraine’s Lomachenko during his post-fight press conference Saturday night, when he praised the three-division champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist as “future Hall-of-Famer” and by far the toughest opponent of his career. The 24-year-old Haney apparently has grown tired, however, of complaints from Lomachenko and Klimas, who called Haney’s unanimous-decision win “a robbery.”

“This guy is a f------ sore loser,” Haney wrote on Twitter. “Get this [privileged] sore loser out of boxing. [He] makes excuses as he goes! Take your [loss] like a man & stop crying … it was set up for you to win for the 3rd time in your career & you failed! Tell the commission give me my 400k back for that push!”

The last sentence of Haney’s Tweet indicated that he was fined an enormous sum of money by the Nevada State Athletic Commission – $400,000 – for forcefully shoving Lomachenko at their ceremonial weigh-in Friday afternoon at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
