Undefeated Featherweight prospect Raza Hamza is set to spend two weeks in camp with one of the best boxers on the globe.

Hamza, who was a five time National Junior Champion, will fly to Japan on April 14th to spar 'The Monster' Naoya Inoue.

The 25-year-old was disappointed when his April 14th fight with Lewis Pettitt was postponed until June due to an injury to headliner Billy Joe Saunders, but this news proved to be a silver lining.

"My manager [Jason McClory] came up with something. He goes, 'Listen I'm gonna send you out to Japan for a few weeks to spar'. I said I'd love to do that to make up for some lost time and get some experience under me so I took the chance straight away," Hamza told the BoxNation Podcast.

"I'm gonna really enjoy it. I'm gonna take it with both hands. I'm gonna make it hard for him when I spar him. I'm not gonna do what they want me to do, I'm gonna box the way I box."

Inoue (15-0,13 KOs) has won World Titles at Light-Flyweight and Super-Flyweight, and recently moved up to Bantamweight. In May he faces Britain's Jamie McDonnell for the WBA belt, and has been mentioned as a future opponent for Zolani Tete.

"For the whole two weeks I'm gonna ask him for advice, ask him if I can run with him, train with him, watch him train," continued Hamza. "Every one percent I can get off him I'm going to try and do that.

"I'm a big fan of his. I love his left hook to the body. I've been watching his work-rate. It's just an achievement in itself sparring somebody like that. I must be half decent if one of the best fighters on the planet wants you to come up for two weeks and spar him!"

Once he's back from Japan, the Birmingham banger is looking forward to finally getting back in the ring: "I can't wait for the LewisPettitt fight - all the build-up, the weigh-in and everything. I know it's my time to shine."
