An opponent has been confirmed for Hampus Henriksson’s professional debut. The 21 year-old from Flyinge will face the undefeated Czech fighter Ondrej Marvan (2-0, 1 KO) in a four round super middleweight contest at the Rosvalla Stora Ishallen at the Nyköpings Arenor in Nyköping, Sweden.

‘’Maravan is a tough opponent for my pro debut,’’ said the former amateur star. ‘’But I’m going to win, no doubt about it! I have the better technical skills and strength, and I will use that to my advantage!’’

One man backing Henriksson to shine is Swedish light welterweight Anthony Yigit, a former amateur teammate, who has taken the paid ranks by storm since turning professional in April 2013.

‘’I know Hampus well from the amateurs,’’ said Yigit. ‘’He is one of the few boxers who trains as hard as me. I have no doubt that he can become a successful pro. He is a very talented fighter who’s able to find solutions when things are not going his way. He also possesses a lot of heart and raw physical power that will serve him well as a professional.’’

Yigit is also in action on September 19. The London 2012 Olympian faces former French Champion Chaquib Fadli, while Erik Skoglund tops the bill with a historic defence of his IBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title against Oleksandr Cherviak. Tickets are available via biljettforum.se.
