(Erie, PA) Lightweight Guillermo Sanchez 12-2 derailed formerly unbeaten Rod Salka 12-1 over eight rounds in the main event at the 26th Annual Erie Boxing Classic Wednesday night (November 24th).  All three judges scored it 78-74. An accidental head butt in the fourth round left a huge gash over Salka's right eye and both fighters were shaken by the head butt.  Sanchez landed counter punches to Salka's aggressiveness throughout the fight.

In the co- feature, Jake Giuriceo 9-0-1 from Campbell, Ohio beat Philadelphia's Julius Edmonds 7-9 in a competitive six round bout.  All  three judges scored the fight 59-55.

Erie, PA Heavyweight Rocky Mullooly 4-2 dropped Ryan St. Germain 2-6 twice in the first round before the referee stopped the fight.

Campbell's Ohio's Lightweight Chris Hazimihalis KO'd Justin Goodall 1-1 Cape Coral Florida with a left right combination at 2:14 of the second round.

In the first bout Pittsburgh's Light Heavyweight Scott Alfer made his pro debut with a four round decision over Youngstown, Ohio's Aaron Dufour 1-1, this bout was scored 39-37 by all three judges.
