Former cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 31KOs), 43-years-old, says he is still on course to return to boxing after his suspension was lifted.

Jones has been inactive since testing positive for a banned substance before an early 2014 rematch with Denis Lebedev. He was suspended afterwards and then legally appealed that decision. He claims a deal has been reached to lift that suspension and he plans to compete as a heavyweight upon his ring return.

Jones' first victory over Lebedev in 2013, where he tested positive for the same substance, was recently reversed to a no-contest after initially being an eleventh round knockout win for the Panamanian fighter.

The former champ is returning as a heavyweight and he wants to fight for the WBA Latino title, which he says the sanctioning body is agreeable with.
