Guillermo Jones, who has defended the World Boxing Association cruiserweight crown only once since winning it in 2008, will risk his crown next month, promoter Don King announced Monday.

The 39-year-old Panamanian nicknamed "The Cat" will face American Mike Marrone on November 5 at Hollywood, Florida.

A winner of his past six fights, Jones is 37-3 with two drawn and 29 knockouts while Marrone is 20-3 with 15 knockouts.

Jones took the crown in September of 2008 with a 10th-round stoppage of German southpaw Firat Arslan in Hamburg, but only made his first title defense last October, stopping Russia's Valery Brudov in the 11th round in Panama.

Jones, 15-1-1 since 1998, was to have fought last June against unbeaten American Ryan Coyne but Jones tripped when leaving the ring after a training session and suffered a back injury.
