British & Commonwealth super middleweight champion goes into the new boxing season with an amazing amount of promise in what has already been a fantastic year for the world rated super middleweight.

Groves deservedly beat former Olympic Gold Medalist James Degale which has catapulted him into being one of the most recognized faces on the British boxing scene.

On November 5th at Wembley Arena, Groves is being challenged by former British title holder Paul Smith, a fight in which people have absolutely no need to sell as it promises to be an exciting slugfest and one in which is unlikely to go the full 12 round distance.

On speaking about the Smith fight, Groves stated - "There's definitely going to be fireworks on November 5th.  I have no doubts I will win the fight which will enable me to progress onto the world stage."

Groves continued - "I am certainly taking this fight with Paul extremely seriously as he will present a completely different challenge to James Degale, I will be 100% ready and focused as I can not afford any slipups in my progression".

It will be Groves first fight for Europe's leading promoter Frank Warren. The fight will be screened exclusively on recently launched BoxNation on Sky Channel 456.  It's a fight that should not be missed by any fight fan.

More outstanding news was Groves being named the winner of the coveted Best Young Boxer for 2011.  This award being presented by the prestigious Boxing Writers Club.

On hearing the news Groves stated - "I am absolutely chuffed to have won this award, but, I have to thank my team for getting me there.  They have helped guide me through an extremely testing year and all of the hard work has been worth it."

The remainder of 2011 will have the ever increasing Groves fan club on the edge of their seats which will in turn have them waiting in anticipation for what 2012 will bring for Britain's most promising and exciting fighter.
