George Groves and Kenny Anderson are both predicting an early night when they clash on Friday 16th March at the Wembley Arena.

British Super-Middleweight Champion Groves makes the second defence of his title against the tough Edinburgh man in a return of their thriller in November 2010.

They clashed at the weigh-in and in an explosive fight Groves hit the floor before he came back to stop Anderson in the sixth round.

The rivals met face-to-face today to promote the fight which will be live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 456/Virgin Ch. 546) and they both agree it won't go the distance.

"Anderson is a tough fighter, but I've come on since we last fought and I can't see him going as far as the sixth round this time, he'll go earlier,"

"I'm expecting a tough fight, I'm not underestimating him and he's going to want to prove that the last time was a mistake,"

"I've beaten DeGale and Smith and now I've got to beat Anderson before I move onto the next level."

Anderson said, "It really hurt when he beat me, but I've got myself into the mandatory position and got the fight with Groves again,"

"I can't see this fight going all the way, with the way me and Groves fight it's going to be an early for one of us, but I'm going to make sure it's not me,"

"It will be a hard fight, but I know what I did wrong last time and I've rectified the mistakes, this time I'll be coming away the winner."

Promoter Frank Warren said, "This is a fight that the public want to see again and I'm delighted that we've got it on and it will be live on BoxNation,"

"I promote George and of course I will be looking for him to come through this fight and we'll have something big lined up for him next."

Chief-support on the show will be former British Light-Middleweight Champion Sam Webb against big-punching former Commonwealth Champion Matthew Hall in an eliminator for the British title.

The undercard features unbeaten Hatfield middleweight Billly Joe Saunders; hot prospect Frank Buglioni from Enfield; welterweight Dean Byrne from Mile End and Penge welterweight Bradley Skeete.

Tickets, priced at £40, £50, £75, £100 and £150,  are available from the Wembley Arena Box Office on 0844 815 0815 or www.wembleyarena.co.uk

SCOTT QUIGG believes it will be 18 months before he is ready to bring world title glory to hometown Bury.

Undefeated Scott, 23, is already ranked third in the IBF and WBA world super-bantamweight rankings, but is happy to ply his trade at domestic and international level for now.

Quigg continues his education by making the first defence of his British title against Jamie Arthur (18-5) at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium on Saturday 4th February.

He said: “Hatton Promotions could probably make a world title fight for me after my fight against Jamie.

“Personally I feel that in 18 months I will have had more experience, boxed more title fights and have a better chance of winning a world title.

“It is not only winning it. It is staying there. You don’t want to just become a champion. It is also about staying there, making defences and building a legacy.”

Quigg, who has won all 23 professional points, believes his argument is even more valid after watching Guillermo Rigondeaux knockout Rico Ramos at the weekend to become WBA super-bantamweight champion.

Scott added:  “Rico won the title, but came up against Guillermo who he wasn’t ready to face and it showed.

“Ramos had a better amateur career than me, but had taken a similar path to me professionally.

“Guillermo has only had nine fights, but was older and more mature than Rico who never had the experience to deal with him.

“Guillermo is an exceptional fighter. They don’t come around that often and that is why he is at that level already. In 18 months I believe I will be at that level.”

On the same bill Joe Murray attempts to win his first title, challenging Chris Male for the vacant English featherweight crown on the card being televised live on Sky Sports.

Rendall Munroe features in a non-title eight rounder when he tackles Argentinian Jose Saez.

The card will also include Stephen Foster Jr v Yauheni Kruhlik. Matty Askin v Attila Palko, Craig Lyon v Yuri Voronin, Jazza Dickens v Michael Ramabaletsa,  Feargal McCrory v Jason Nesbitt and Tasif Khan v Selected Opponent.

Boxing starts at 6.15pm and tickets priced at £35, £55 and £75 VIP ringside. You can buy by calling 01925 755 222, Ticketmaster 0844 847 2500, Ticketline 0844 888 9991 or online www.hattonboxing.com
