Frank Warren assured Thursday that the Daniel Dubois-Nathan Gorman fight Saturday night will be much more memorable than their press conference.

The British heavyweight rivals expressed respect toward one another Thursday, two days before they’ll go at it Saturday night at O2 Arena in London. The 21-year-old Dubois (11-0, 10 KOs) and the 23-year-old Gorman (16-0, 11 KOs) know each other well from all the time they spent sparring as part of the GB Squad in England.

“Referring to the sparring, I felt like I never lost a round,” said Gorman, who has estimated that he and Dubois have sparred between 200 and 300 rounds. “But that’s then, this is now. It all comes down to Saturday night.”

The highly touted Dubois has knocked out all but one of his opponents since he turned pro in April 2017. Gorman, a cousin of lineal heavyweight champ Tyson Fury, is more boxer than puncher, yet he’s certain he can knock out the 6-feet-5, 240-pound Dubois.

“Whatever he’s got, John, to be honest with you, you know, we’ve got the answer for,” Gorman told press conference moderator John Rawling. “I’ve been to hell and back in training camp. Everything I’ve done has been perfect. So, whatever he’s got, I’ve got the answer for. On my behalf, if the knockout’s there, I’m also gonna go for it. If it goes 12 rounds, I’m more than fit enough to go 12 rounds. I can box at a high pace, slow pace, whatever pace he wants to go at, you know? I’m fully prepared. I’m ready to do the job on Saturday.”

Dubois doesn’t think Gorman is ready for a fight Gorman long has said he wants.

“There’s no worries,” Dubois said. “There’s no worries at all. I’ve worked too hard. I’ve put in a lot of work in the gym. I’ve listened to the team and everyone around me, and I’m ready to just put it all on the line now. … If the opportunity’s there, I’m going for the knockout.”

BT Sport will televise the Dubois-Gorman match in the United Kingdom as the main event of a show that’ll feature another 12-round heavyweight bout between London’s Joe Joyce (9-0, 9 KOs) and Philadelphia’s Bryant Jennings (24-3, 14 KOs). BT Sport’s coverage is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. BST.

ESPN+ will stream the Joyce-Jennings and Dubois-Gorman fights live in the United States (2:45 p.m. ET/11:45 p.m. PT).
