BoxingScene.com has been advised that Alejandro Gonzalez Jr. (25-2-2, 15KOs) has signed on with adviser/manager Al Haymon.

Gonzalez, 22-years-old, is coming off last month's twelve round decision loss to IBF super bantamweight champion Carl Frampton. Gonzalez surprised a lot of people by dropping Frampton twice in the early rounds and used his height/reach to give the Belfast boxer some trouble in the contest. He ultimately lost a twelve round unanimous decision.

Gonzalez is said to be returning in the fall, but dropping back down to 118-pounds to purse a world title.

In other news, middleweight/junior middleweight contender Hugo Centeno Jr. (22-0, 12KOs) will return on September 12th as part of the Premier Boxing Champions on NBC card at Foxwoods in Connecticut. As previously reported on BoxingScene, that card will feature the return of Peter Quillin and Cornelius 'K9' Bundrage defending his IBF junior middleweight title against Jermall Charlo.

Centeno has been out of the ring since last December's HBO televised knockout of James De La Rosa. Since that time, Centeno separated from Golden Boy Promotions and manager Joel De La Hoya and signed with Haymon.
