Oleg Hermann, manager of IBO/WBA/WBC/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs), says British champion Chris Eubank Jr. chocked up when it came to the moment of truth - signing a contract to fight in the fall.

The two sides had been negotiating for several weeks, but it became apparent a few days ago that Eubank Jr., and his father/manager Chris Eubank Sr., were not going to agree to the terms.

On Friday the boxing world was stunned when Matchroom Sport and K2 Promotions announced that a deal was finalized for Golovkin to defend his titles against Brook on September 10th at the O2 Arena in London. The fight is taking place at the full middleweight limit of 160-pounds with Brook, the IBF champion at 147-pounds, moving up by thirteen pounds.

Hermann echoed the statements of Eubank's own promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, who was frustrated with the way the negotiations played out.

"Let's just say we were under the impression for a long time that everything was settled [to make the fight with Eubank], that we had an agreement and everyone was willing to sign the contract, and Gennady was ready to fly to London. But every day, when it was necessary to proceed with the signing of the contract - they would come up with more demands - some of them totally inappropriate and unrealistic, and some were even even funny," Hermann said."

"The exact same thing was said by Hearn, who for his part also did everything possible to ensure that the fight took place. We realized that with Eubank it was going to be a dead end, and the fight wasn't going to happen. It became clear that we were just wasting our time with someone who from the beginning was not going to go into the ring with Gennady, and he used our time and did everything for the sake of self-praise. This man has absolutely no respect for any opponent, no fan, or even of his team."
