The HBO televised battle between the hard-hitting junior middleweight Jonathan Gonzalez (15-0, 13 KO's) and Sergei Dzinziruk (37-1, 24 KO's) was set for August 25, but now the date has been pushed back by a week to September 1, according to Gonzalez's legal adviser Gaby Penagaricano.

"We are discussing the venue but it is correct, the fight has been delayed by a week," he said.

For Gonzalez, 22-years-old and ranked at number four under the WBO, this will be the first major test of his short career and winning the fight would place him on the verge of a title fight.

WBA "reagular" middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin will be in the main event against an opponent to be determined.
