WBC/WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) is frustrated with his inability to secure the top names in his division.

He returns on September 10th at the O2 Arena in London, where he defends his titles against current IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs).

Brook is heading up by thirteen pounds to take on Golovkin at the full middleweight limit of 160-pounds.

Golovkin was the mandatory challenger to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (47-1-1, 33KOs), when the Mexican superstar was the WBC middleweight beltholder. Canelo vacated the title and dropped back to the junior middleweight division to face WBO champion Liam Smith on September 17th.

Then Golovkin tried to get a fight with WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders and that fight fell out, and then negotiations with British champion Chris Eubank Jr. also fell out.

Golovkin had no choice but to secure the biggest available name to fight him, and that's when Brook came in the picture.

"The only thing I want is to fight against the best fighters in the world, but very few of them are daring to fight me," said the 34-year-old Golovkin. "To me, I have two years left in my career, maybe three. I do not have time to be waiting for any fighter."

Before vacating the title and moving down, Canelo called for a fight with Golovkin and publicly told the hard puncher that Mexicans 'don't f*** around.' Golovkin was very annoyed when Canelo backed away from those words and then verbally agreed to fight him in September 2017.

When he was asked for his opinion of Canelo and the recent events between them, Golovkin spoke his mind.

"I only respect those boxers who dare to sign a contract to fight me," Golovkin said.
