Former light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson (54-21-2, 27 KOs) hasn't been seen in the ring since 2015—but he doesn't want a soft touch for his return.

Johnson, 48, recently took to Instagram to call out a fellow former light heavyweight champ, Jean Pascal (31-4-1, 18 KOs).

“Pascal, don't be scared brother. Let's get this thing going. Let's give the people of Canada and the rest of the world a good fight. You know you and I can do it,” said Johnson.

“The Road Warrior” was last seen in 2015, dropping a lopsided ten round decision to contender Avni Yildirim (5-0 at that time). Prior to that, he suffered the same fate against Erik Skoglund in Denmark. In 2014, an ill-fated trip up to cruiserweight saw him stopped for the first time since his 1997 loss to Bernard Hopkins, as a much larger Ilunga Makabu wore him down over nine rounds.

Pascal, meanwhile, returned to the win column in December with a third round stoppage over Ricardo Ramallo in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec.

As of late December, the 34-year old parted ways with Interbox, leading to immediate speculation that he could be returning to his former stable, Groupe Yvon Michel. Pascal was present for the recent clash between Eleider Alvarez and Lucian Bute, expressing his interest in facing the winner, while also telling Le Journal de Montreal that he had been in discussions with HBO about a date before this summer.

Pascal's former promoter Yvon Michel also noted that were they to work together once again, a fight against current WBA champion Nathan Cleverly would be a very realistic option.
