Italian BBT have set February 20 in Rome for the showdown between former WBA champion Giovanni De Carolis (28-9-1) and undefeated German Leon Bauer (17-0-1) with the vacant EBU super middleweight title at stake.

BBT were the sole bidders at the purse bids in Rome November 30. The offer was for 28,600 Euro and that has raised doubts about Bauer's ambitions to go through with the fight but for now it's on and Bauer can be seen on social media working hard in the gym.

German cruiserweight prospect Roman Fress (11-0) will now take on Erdogan Kardrija (16-2) with the vacant German (BDB version) title at stake in the headliner of SES show at Maritim Hotel in Magdeburg on December 12. Fress already holds the International German (also the BDB version) belt.

Fress, trained by former WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz, was first set to face Italian Francesco Versaci.

Northampton Super-Welterweight contender Kieron Conway (15-1-1, 3 KOs), who was originally slated to fight Frenchman Souleymane Cissokho, will now clash with Wythenshawe's Macaulay McGowen (14-1-1, 3 KOs) over ten rounds.

Ramla Ali's (1-0) second professional fight against Vansea Caballero (3-9-3) has been removed from the show after the Somali-British fighter, who made a winning start to life in the paid ranks in October, returned a positive COVID-19 test.
