Giovani Segura will have another fight before he receives the opportunity to contest for a world championship. Segura (31-3-1, 27 KOs) will return in Tijuana, when he faces Felipe Salguero (19-5-1 , 14 KOs) on April 5 at the Arena Tecate, as part of a card being promoted by Zanfer Promotions and televised by Azteca 7.

After losing to Edgar Sosa in a fight for the silver flyweight crown in May of last year, Segura closed 2013 with two spectacular wins, against undefeated Jonatan González and former champion Hernán "Tyson" Marquez.

Salguero , meanwhile , got his chance to play a world championship , in October 2013 , when he traveled to the Philippines to face IBF flyweight champion , John Riel Casimero , against whom fell in eleven rounds in a hotly contested race. In his most recent fight last December in Querétaro , knocked out in two rounds to Ramón Peña.

Also on the card, Alejandro "Cobrita" Gonzales Jr. (22-0-2, 14 KOs) will have his trial by fire, when he faces former world champion Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda (37-10-2, 29 KOs).
