Flyweight contender Giovani Segura will fight Juan Palacios on August 15, it was advised to BoxingScene.com.

The eight round bout will take place at the We Ko Pa Casino in Scottsdale, Ariz., just outside of Phoenix.

Segura was scheduled to fight on July 25 at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, but a suitable opponent for the Mexican-American could not be located.

Segura (32-4-1, 28 KOs), who resides in the Los Angeles suburb of Bell, has not fought since Sept. 6, when he was stopped in the 11th round at the hands of Juan Francisco Estrada.

There have been a few rumblings the 33 year old could face Roman Gonzalez on Oct. 17 in New York City, but nothing has been concrete. Handlers of Gonzalez are rumored to be looking at Brian Viloria or another top flyweight.

Palacios (29-5-2, 22 KOs) is winless in his last four bouts, a span of over three years. In his last bout on July 17, the two-time interim world title holder lost an eight round unanimous decision to Alexander Taylor.

The bout on August 15 will be the first time Palacios will fight in the United States.

Also on the 'Iron Boy 24' card will be an eight round bout between middleweights Louis Rose (12-2-1, 4 KOs) and Andrew Hernandez (9-1-1, 1 KO).

Unbeaten featherweights Carlos Castro (11-0, 5 KOs) and Johnny Guillen square off in a six round bout.

Iron Boy Promotions and Roy Jones Jr. Boxing will co-promote the card.
