The camp of World Boxing Organization (WBO) super middleweight world champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez continues to give satisfaction to his team, delivering remarkable results in the workloads that have been administered since his arrival in Los Angeles.

While it is too early to think about tactics and strategy, having made the trip knowing that Ramirez will defend his belt on December 14 in Corpus Christi, Texas, allowed his coach Hector Zapari to adjust a working plan for the twelve weeks that the preparation will last.

"At the moment we only have confirmed the date and the venue, but that has helped us to manage the training in a way that guarantees that the performance of 'Zurdo' will be the most optimal in the stages that will come after everything is confirmed with the challenger," Zapari revealed.

Ramirez is expected to face his mandatory challenger, Jesse Hart, in a rematch. Hart lost a twelve round decision to Ramirez last year, and has won three fights since.

An incentive for Ramirez, is that this time he is accompanied by three prospects from the stable of Zápari Boxing Promotions that will see action at the end of November - Mexicans Miguel "La Maquina" Parra, Ruben "Bebe" Vega and Jesus "Veneno" Arechiga.

During the years that he's been making his preparations in California, he was rarely accompanied by other fighters from his same squad and the fact of living with them in his day to day, has come to change the dynamics of an activity that can become very lonely for a fighter.

"It is a motivation for 'Zurdo' to have his companions living with him at home and in the gym. He is transmitting his experience and his work ethic and likewise the boys bring that energy and joy that every fighter needs to take with him from the moment he gets up to run in the morning," Zapari explained.
