Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - 2012 Olympic gold medalist Egor Mekhontsev improved his record to 3-0 with a vicious knockout of Dwayne Williams (5-2). The time of the stoppage was 1:34 of the third round.

Recent Top Rank signee Gary Salazar was successful in his debut with the promotional company. He won three of the four rounds on all three judges scorecards.

Undefeated super middleweight contender Gilberto Ramirez Sanchez's (28-0) goal  was to impress in his ESPN debut and he didn't disappoint when he dominated veteran Giovanni Lorenzo (33-7). Ramirez scored multiple knockdowns and appears on his way to making his HBO debut in the near future.

Ramirez started off fast hurting  Lorenzo early in the first round.  The Dominican gamely fought on and tried to use more movement to avoid the 22-year-old Ramirez's aggressive attack.

Both men traded punches in the 3rd round but the fresher Ramirez got the better of the exchanges. Lorenzo appeared to sit on the ropes as Ramirez continued to batter him. A wicked body shot finally dropped Lorenzo and he rose to his feet on wobbly legs. A low blow by Ramirez bought time for Lorenzo to recover and survive the round.

The Sinaloa, Mexico native started to use his jab more in the 4th which opened up his power shots. Lorenzo landed some clean shots of his own but they didn't have nearly the same power as Ramirez's.

A body shot sent Lorenzo back to the canvas early in the 5th but he was able to get to his feet. A few seconds later he was sent back to the floor as his corner had seen enough and wisely threw in the towel. The official time of the stoppage was 2:47 of the 5th round.

Bluechip super middleweight prospect Jesse Hart improved to 13-0 when he dominated Samuel Clarkson (10-3) over 8 rounds. Hart started off fast and Clarkson had difficulty letting his hands go as Hart concentrated on throwing power shots.

Hart hurt Clarkson with a series of punches in the 4th round that sent the Texan to the canvas. He dropped him again and Clarkson appeared to be badly hurt but was able to make it to the final bell.

Clarkson was able to regroup land some hard shots of his own in the 6th round but it wasn't nearly enough to win the round. Hart continued to control the action through the final rounds to coast to an easy decision win.

Undefeated lightweight Lydell Rhodes (20-0) had a tougher than expected fight against Alejandro (18-14). One judge saw the fight even at 57-57 but Rhodes pulled out the victory in the other 2 cards 58-56. 

Super welterweight prospect Danny Valdivia improved to 3-0 when he defeated  German Valdez (3-4) via unanimous decision. Valdivia dominated from the opening bell and won 40-36 on all 3 cards.
