The outcome on BoxRec reads, as of tonight (Monday, May 16, 8.40 local time, central Europe), that Ugandan veteran Hamza Wandera (20-19-3) won over local man Musa Yamak (8-1), in what is listed as a RTD 2, meaning Yamak retired at the end of the second in what was the headliner of small show in Garching, Germany.

However, German and international media outlets report that Yamak tried to come out for the third but suddenly fell down and was unconscious. He could not be revived.

The boxer was later pronounced dead in the hospital. And as for cause of what happened, it is being reported that his death was the result of a myocardial infarction (heart attack).

As far as what could have caused a 38-year-old professional fighter to die from something like this is not yet known.

Musa Yamak turned pro in 2017 in a low key career, which of course was hurt by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. And in his last fight in November of 2021, he won the WBFed International title by stopping Siarhei Huliakevich.
