It's been a while since Eddie Chambers competed in a notable bout in America, but now he has an opponent to change that.

The Philadelphia native will fight Gerald Washington on April 30 in a 10-round heavyweight bout. This will be Chambers' first fight against a recognizable foe since a 2013 defeat to Thabo Mchunu at cruiserweight.

Chambers (42-4, 23 KOs) moved back to heavyweight following the loss and linked up with the Furys in the U.K. His next fight fights were staged there against journeyman before he signed with Al Haymon and returned stateside for a win in September.

A victory over Washington should throw him in the mix for bouts with other heavyweights signed with PBC, like Chris Arreola, Travis Kauffman and Charles Martin.

Washington (16-0-1, 11 KOs) suffered the first blemish of his career in his last outing, a draw with Amir Mansour on FS1. At 6'6", 240-plus, Washington is a much bigger man than Chambers but doesn't have the same boxing ability.
