Tyson Fury apparently isn’t interested in forming a sense of fellow feeling with his divisional cohorts anytime soon.

The WBC heavyweight titleholder from Manchester, England continued his recent spate of tirades by taking aim at countryman and former opponent Derek Chisora on social media in response to comments Chisora made about who would win in a hypothetical matchup between Fury and Anthony Joshua.

“I’ll go with AJ,” Chisora told TalkSport. “AJ’s power punch is unbelievable.”

“If AJ fights Fury, he has to go on him straight away, blast him out,” Chisora added. “He can’t box him. If he boxes with him, he loses.”

Of course, Chisora has never fought Joshua, while he has gone up twice against Fury, losing in both instances; Fury beat Chisora on points in 2011 and then beat him again in 2014, stopping him that time inside 10 rounds.

Moreover, Chisora (32-12, 23 KOs) is signed with Joshua’s management team, so he is not exactly an unbiased observer.

In any case, Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) did not appreciate Chisora’s prediction, pointing out that the fact that he has fought – and defeated – ruinous punchers such as Deontay Wilder (twice) and Wladimir Klitschko is evidence to him that Joshua would fare no differently.

"This is a message to Derek Chisora, I've just seen that you said you think AJ would blast me out,” Fury said on Instagram Live. “Never in a million years.

"If the biggest puncher (Wilder) in history couldn't blast me out and Wladimir Klitschko couldn't blast me out, a big old bodybuilder (Joshua) can't blast me out my friend.”

The comments were made just days after Fury finished taunting Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs), Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs), and Klitschko (64-5, 53 KOs). Fury also referred to Usyk, the current unified heavyweight champion, as a “steroid man.”

Fury then predicted that Chisora would not have the gumption to fight Usyk again; Usyk notched a decisive points victory over Chisora in their encounter in 2020.

"So ‘Del’ (Chisora), he ain't got the bottle (the nerve) to fight Usyk again," Fury continued. "Usyk will smash him next time, properly. Never mind beat him on points, he'll knock him out. But listen, it only takes one man like me.

"There's only ever been one man on these shores, and he's called the Gypsy King, AKA Tyson Fury."
