Angry world heavyweight boxing contender Tyson Fury has challenged a top women's football player to a fight - by mistake.

Fury was set to fight Dereck Chisora for the British and European titles in Manchester this weekend with the fight also being a world title final eliminator.

But Chisora has had to withdraw with a hand injury suffered in his final sparring session, leaving Fury furious.

The pair have waged a war of trash-talk leading up to the fight and Fury took to Twitter to voice his frustrations with a tweet aimed at calling out unbeaten American heavyweight Deontay Wilder who goes under the handle of @BronzeBomber.

But Fury mistakingly punched in the Twitter address of @LucyBronze, who just happened to be the talented Liverpool Ladies and England football player.

Fury's post on Twitter read: ''Told you all what would happen find me a real man to fight the furious1. P*ssys p*ssys p*ssys. @LucyBronze I want you punk?''

Bronze politely turned down the challenge, announcing via her own Twitter account: ''Hahaha the tweets I'm getting because of this ... Sorry to let everyone down, but I'm unavailable for a fight''

Fury twice prepared for fights with Britain's former world champion David Haye last year only to have Haye pull out.

The promoters are looking to throw a last-minute opponent in the ring with Fury this weekend, and that will likely be giant sized Alexander Ustinov, and hope to reschedule his clash with Chisora in coming months.

Meanwhile, Bronze was in training for the looming English football season, happy to let her feet do the talking.
