IBO light heavyweight champ Karo Murat, 32-3-1, defends the title against IBF Baltic and Swedish titleholder Sven Fornling, 14-1, in the headliner of EC Boxing´s show at the Hansehalle in Luebeck September 15.

The two are stablemates in EC Boxing and have sparred many times and know each other well.

This is the first defense for Murat of the title he won in March by stopping Travis Reeves. For Fornling this is a big step up in class but he is confident of winning. History shows it can be done as it was at the Hansehall that Swede Armand Krajnc, coming in as a late sub and underdog, stopped Jason Matthews back in 1999 to win the then vacant WBO middleweight title.

Danish light heavyweight Jeppe Morell, 8-2, steps up in class and take on much higher ranked Argentinean Ruben Eduardo Acosta, 36-16-5.

Acosta lost to the much more experienced Lolenga Mock on his previous visit to Denmark and lost a very close decision to Vartan Avetisyan in Germany in his last fight. Morell lost on a cut eye to Sven Fornling last time out and before that split two fights with Maurice Possiti. The talent is there but there is no substitute for experience

IBF have appointed Frenchman Guillaume Frenois, 46-1, IBF # 5 and current EBU super featherweight champ, and Italian Devis Boschiero, 46-5-2 and IBF # 6, to fight a final eliminator for the right to challenge newly crowned super featherweight champ Tevin Farmer.

In 2013 Boschiero handed Frenois the sole loss in his career but in his last fight he could only draw with Maycol Antonio Escobar Cuevas in a six rounder.
