Frazer Clarke will enjoy a quick ring return.

BOXXER has confirmed the addition of Clarke to its already announced September 3 show at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England. An opponent was not yet named for the 31-year-old heavyweight, who returns to the ring just five weeks after his last outing.

“I’m so excited to be fighting again so soon, especially in Liverpool which is one of my favorite fight cities in the world,” said Clarke. “Liverpool is full of great characters and fighters. And it is a city which I have very fond memories in, notably when I won my ABA title there.”

Clarke (2-0, 2KOs) has fought less than three combined rounds since turning pro earlier this year following his bronze medal haul for Great Britain during last summer’s delayed Tokyo Olympics. Placement on the September 3 show comes in the wake of his impressive second-round stoppage of Argentina’s Ariel Bracamonte on July 30 in Bournemouth, England.

The 6’6” heavyweight signed with BOXXER last December, the second of five members from the Great Britain Olympic team who competed in Tokyo—Gold medalist Lauren Price (1-0, 1KO), Silver medalist Ben Whittaker (1-0, 1KO), Bronze medalist Karris Artingstall (1-0, 1KO) and Caroline Dubois (3-0, 2KOs) to sign with the first-year promotional company.

Clarke’s pro debut came on the February 19 show topped by Kell Brook’s stoppage win over Amir Khan in front of a sold-out crowd at AO Arena in Manchester, where he scored a first-round knockout to jumpstart his promising career.

“We’re massively excited about ‘Big Fraze’s’ future with us at BOXXER,” said Ben Shalom, CEO and founder of BOXXER. “There are so many big fight nights to look forward to. For now, it’s important to see him back in action as we build upon that journey.

“But it was clear for all to see in Bournemouth just how devastating he can be, with his impressive knockout victory over Esteban Bracamonte. Frazer will fire another warning to the heavyweight division when he fights on what is an unmissable card in Liverpool on 3rd September.”

Already confirmed for the show, former WBO junior middleweight titlist and local hero Liam Smith (31-3-1, 18KOs) faces Tanzania's Hassan Mwakinyo (20-2, 14KOs) in the evening’s main event. The co-feature pits Liverpool’s own Natasha Jonas (11-2-1, 8KOs) in the first defense of her WBO junior middleweight belt, facing unbeaten WBC titlist Patricia Berghult (15-0, 3KOs) in a scheduled ten-round unification bout.
