Frank Warren, co-promoter for Tyson Fury, would love to stage his boxer's next fight in the UK.

Fury's last five fights have taken place n the United States.

He last fought in the UK in August of 2018 - when he picked up a decision win over Fracesco Pianeta.

Last Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Fury overcame two knockdowns to score a sensational knockout of Deontay Wilder in the eleventh round to retain the WBC heavyweight title.

If Warren had his way, he would like to match his fighter against newly crowned IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

However, Usyk is contracted to take part in a rematch with Anthony Joshua - which is being targeted for the first quarter of 2022.

A strong possibility to face Fury next is the victor of the upcoming clash between Dillian Whyte and Otto Wallin - as the WBC will likely order Fury to make a mandatory defense against the winner. Whyte vs. Wallin takes place on October 30.

If Whyte is victorious, he would certainly be a perfect opponent for a UK title defense.

“It’d be an ideal world for Anthony Joshua not to go for the rematch so we can just get straight to it,” Warren said.

"No one’s made any decision [on Fury's next fight]. [Fury] needs [to make] a decision after this. There’s no rush. But he’s planned out five fights. He’s a fighting man and lives and breathes boxing. That’s his life.

“I would love that homecoming more than anything for the British fans. Can you imagine it? Tyson sells out any stadium in Britain, easy. The fans will come out for him. He deserves that hero’s homecoming now.”
