Frank "The Cuban Flash" Sanchez (15-0) fought 4 times in 2019 with 3 of those victories coming by way of knockout.

He fought for the first time in 2020 on March 7th when he dominated Joey Dawejko over 10 rounds.  The fight was aired by FOX as part of a tripleheader that was headlined by Robert Helenius' upset knockout victory over Adam Kownacki. The final scores were 100-90 twice and 98-92.

When asked to grade his performance after the fight, the Premier Boxing Champions fighter said that everything went as planned and that he hopes to continue taking on tougher opponents.

"I gave myself a 10. I felt I dominated the fight. I did everything I wanted to do in the ring.  I want to keep advancing and hopefully I will keep getting bigger and bigger fights," said Sanchez.

The 27-year-old former Cuban amateur standout expected Dawejko to be more aggressive but believes that his style thwarted and frustrated his opponent.

"I felt like he would pressure me more and go after me more but the way that I was moving and my boxing ability wasn't allowing him to do what he wanted to do," Sanchez stated.

Prior to the fight, Dawejko downplayed Sanchez's ability and said that he has faced stronger and better fighters. He repeated the same sentiment after the fight but Sanchez said that if Dawejko was honest that he would admit that he has never faced anyone with his skill set.

"He might have said that but like I said before the fight he has never fought anyone like me before. He has never fought any with my speed and boxing ability and everything that I bring into the ring," Sanchez explained.
