  • Comments Thread For: Jaime Munguia Eyes April Ring Return In Event Golovkin Talks Stall

Jaime Munguia is ready for the next step in his middleweight journey, though not the leap previously anticipated by his handlers. Talks regarding a potential showdown with two-time and reigning IBF middleweight titlist Gennadiy Golovkin (41-1-1, 36KOs) remain open yet appear less likely to be next for the unbeaten former junior middleweight titlist. There instead exists a more likely chance for Munguia to instead shift his attention towards a springtime return, likely to take place within the first two weeks of April against an opponent to further ready him for the top level, co-promoter Zanfer Promotions informs BoxingScene.com.

I hope this means we're getting GGG vs. Andrade!

Interesting that when he moved up and vacated his WBO title at 154, GBP and him never pushed to become the mandatory challenger for the WBO MW title like any other champ that moves up and vacates his title. I guess they knew he didn't stand a chance didn't want him to lose

So whats the problem with making the fight now between Mungia and GGG? Isn't Jaime in the number 1 position anyway for the title?

If GGG don't fight Munguia I think the chance he fights Canelo becomes less likely. If he fights & beats Munguia he'd probably be the go to September fight if Canelo sticks with Eddie.

                  DAZN is a joke!!!

Meanwhile, Canelo will continue to fight these overrated scrubs..

GGG will fight even lesser competition.. DAZN can’t make big fights.. screw em!
