Smith is a C level fighter. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves here. Canelo knew exactly what he was doing in choosing him. Lol.

The disrespect. He beat the former #1 SMW champion of the world in George Groves. Who has Benavidez and Caleb beat? Bums that’s who.

Suleiman knows that if he forces Canelo to fight benevidez.. He will vacate and boycott the WBC forever! And will never fight for the wbc again! Soo Suleiman got it set up so that when David Benevidez, or Charlo becomes to hard to ignore.. He will just make Canelo wbc franchise champ of 168! Because if Jermall moves up he can skip avril and benividez technically because he is the wbc 160 champ... Very similar to Sulimans excuse for making danny vs the ghost for the 147 wbc.

No disrespect intended. George Groves was no world beater himself. Also, 168 has been historically weak. If 168 was strong Canelo wouldn't have jump in with both feet.

He was better than Plant, Charlo, Benavidez and Andrade.

Which one of them is the lineal champion? Which one won a Super Six tournament? What great accomplishments have they achieved?

Canelo knew what was up when he chose Smith. The weakest of the bunch. Slow Feet, Slow hands. .....

Smith looked like a C level fighter last Sat regardless.

There is absolutely no proof of this. If we're learning anything just examining the division is that it's probably not as good as it's been hyped up to be. The only two division champ there is Saunders. Smith's resume was fine, Groves and N'Dam to me are B/C level wins over two of the chinniest fighters over 154 not named Kovalev. It's a fine win for Canelo, don't get me wrong. But it turns out Smith really is the guy who lost to John Ryder.
