  • Comments Thread For: Jake Paul's Trainer Wants Him To Box an MMA Fighter Next

Over the past few weeks, BJ Flores has repeatedly stated that Jake Paul would not only beat Nate Robinson but knock him out. That is exactly what happened last month on the Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr. pay-per-view undercard. Paul brutally knocked out Robinson in the 2nd round of their cruiserweight bout.

Boxing is becoming more of a farce than ever. Legitimate Fighters struggle for years to rise in the rankings and then this youtube guy gets on PPV. It's funny but celebrity boxing (Todd Bridges vs Vanilla Ice) , exhibition fights (Tyson vs Jones) and crossover fights (boxers vs MMA) are more popular than real fights.

Definitely. Everything here is so true. And it’s a shame because people always say, “it brings more Fans to the sport” but these YouTuber Nerds who watch these fight aren’t interested in really knowing true boxing. It’s not about how you score a fight or how a boxer looks on the eye test. To them it’s all about the bragging rights. There’s a winner and a loser and that’s it. If I make any sense? They literally contribute nothing to boxing. Always admired Floyd, but like fighting Logan Paul? It’s like he sees Tyson Jones and got jealous that he’s not in the limelight. He’s killing the sport. Claims he wants fighters to surpass him. Yeah right. Tank- Santa Cruz All Access was all about mayweather been a promoter and he’s got PPV Records. Give me a break. These fights ain’t worth gaining maybe 10,000 new fans at the Most.

He needs to call out Maries Briedis that would be a great fight, Like Castillo VS Corrales, Foreman VS Lyle etc.

                    100% correct.

With all the different Alphabet belts and extra divisions boxing has essentially become Pro Wrestling since the 1980's.

The PBC is a prime example - their cards are awful and you are lucky to get a competitive main event even for $75.

It's a highly cynical business which fleeces casual fans by selling events that are very low quality but promoted very skilfully to appear the opposite.
