  • Comments Thread For: Donnie Nietes Signs Pact with MTK Global and D4G Promotions

Donnie Nietes long ago declared that he would only entertain big fights for the balance of his career. That journey now includes one of the most powerful en****** in the sport. The former four-division titlist from Bacolod City, Philippines has inked a deal with massive managerial conglomerate MTK Global and D4G Promotions, the companies announced in a joint statement on Friday. Nietes' signing comes on heels of countryman and current junior featherweight contender Albert Pagara working with both parties as well.

This guy has been one of the best unknown world-class fighters for years and has never had any real push from anybody to be the star he probably should have been long ago. Shame he is 38 and is just now getting some recognition from a big promoter. Hope to see him in the mix and get some big fight exposure before he gets any older. He is in and around divisions loaded with quality fighters.

His prev promoter Ala shit promotions gave him this shitty career.

He’s nothing but a big stepping stone now

Choco dismissed his challenges before and said he is not serious. I think now he understands, things are very serious.

This guy Donnie Nietes didn't challenge Inoue's WBO title until Inoue vacated and moved up to Bantamweight. Donnie is a good fighter but not a "great" fighter like everyone says.

Great news I think he would have a great shot at beating everybody in the division.

Inoue never mentioned his name. He may have been shook. Nietes is very slick in the ring and he stings like a cobra.
