  • Comments Thread For: Vendetti on Lara: He's Right on The Ledge - I'm The Guy To Push Him

That was the troubling question Greg Vendetti (22-3-1) had to ask of himself following unexpected defeats in his sixth and seventh fights as a professional boxer. Fans enjoy watching Lara get brutalized.
They were jumping up and down waving their fists
every time Hurd lands huge blows on his face.
Same thing when Angulo knocked him down twice.

Don't know why De Cubas failed to properly capitalize on this.
Lara is like the moderate version of Mayweather whom people
    pay to see lose.

You are right, they never capitalize on that. The thing is when he is pressured, he gives as good as he takes it. Angulo put him down twice and then Lara make him quit. When a proud Mexican warrior like el perro quits, you know he had more than enough punishment. And hurd if not for the knockdown, he could have lost the fight. Still he left a lot of himself that night.
