  • Comments Thread For: Cornflake LaManna On Standby For Fox's Lara-Vendetti Main Event

The question isn't whether Thomas Cornflake' LaManna is ready for primetime if called upon, but if primetime is prepared for Cornflake. BoxingScene.com has learned that the charismatic junior middleweight has been designated as the official replacement opponent in the event his services are needed for this weekend's Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Fox headlining bout (Saturday, FOX, 8:00pm ET). The show is topped by Cuban southpaw Erislandy Lara in the first defense of his secondary 154-pound title as he faces Massachusetts' Greg Vendetti (22-3-1, 10KOs) live from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Cornflake should be fighting The Villain and neither guy should be anywhere near Lara.

Love the practice of having standby opponents.

Keeps shows from getting cancelled plus it encourages fighters to stay in fighting shape in case they get the call.

Yup. We had a moderator, Bringer confirm it was him.

He only posted for like 2 days and never again can't blame him.

Nsb probably drove him nuts. If anything he probably would of wanted to keep his anonymity

Jamel Herring has posted here as well, if I'm not mistaken.

As for Cornflake, he's from South Jersey so I will always root for him. He has lost when he steps up to a certain level yet has managed to stay relevant despite that fact.
