  • Comments Thread For: Habazin: Braekhus Would Beat Shields In 147-Pound Fight

ATLANTIC CITY Ivana Habazin has now gone 10 rounds apiece with Cecilia Braekhus and Claressa Shields. The Croatian contender considers Braekhus the harder puncher and the better boxer overall. Shields wants a chance to show she's better than Braekhus, but it doesn't appear as if Braekhus is interested in facing the undefeated three-division champion at a weight higher than 147 pounds.

Habazin knows who would win, she fought both. I agree that Anne Wolfe and Laila Ali would have beaten Shields at 168, her claims or GWOAT very overrated. Braekhus fought Habazin and beat her more than 4 yrs ago and has the highest rated womens fight in US when she fought on HBO May 5 2019, more than triple what Shields got for her fight.

Why are you interviewing this loser. She talked all that stuff then proceeded to be scared the entire fight. Did she fight like that against CB?

Yea man. She’s sour. I can’t even claim to have watched women’s boxing enough to know how good Laila Ali was in the ring, or even what she accomplished. But right now it’s Shields, and Habazin is salty so take anything she says about Shields w a grain of salt.

She lost every second of every round against Braekhus. She was hurt to the head and on her horse the entire fight. She didn't hit the canvas but Braekhus is a welterweight (Habazin's natural weight class) who moved up from 140; Shields was a super welterweight who moved down from 168.

They're still putting a microphone in this loser's face?

C---y broad ate ice cream on the scale and then proceed to get her a$$ beat for 10rds and dropped once. CLOWN... moving on....

Shields has already come down a couple of weight classes. If Braekhus really wants it with her than she'll come up or they can agree to meet at a catch weight.

Why would a naturally smaller woman go up in weight to fight a woman who’s been on PED’s? That’s like how Garcia went up to face a gyno’d up Spence. Want an even fight? How about shields step up and face jiminez instead of facing a retired unranked fighter coming up in weight for a title shot. Similar weight classes, and both on PED’s.

Braekhus is going to completely destroy claratchet rathead shields. And Anne wolfe would just rape shields for 12 rds.
