With each in-ring achievement, the remarkable career of Saul Canelo' Alvarez continues to soar to new heights-even if his appeal at the box office appears to have long ago peaked. For the third straight time, the Mexican icon saw a decline in ticket sales despite headlining yet another historic event. Alvarez moved up two weight divisions to challenge reigning light heavyweight titlist Sergey Kovalev, whom he knocked out in 11 rounds in the main event of their Nov. 2 clash at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This was at the MGM Grand Garden not the T-Mobile Arena. Which generally holds less people if I'm not mistaken?

It's not a joke at all. . But it puts Floyd's popularity into perspective. He did a $10 mil gate against Berto... The popularity between these two is miles apart.

lol. Miles apart, right. Haymon and Showtime with the ''49-0 breaking Marciano's record'' marketing for Floyd's retirement bout in Vegas. I'm sure David Copperfield's FINAL show in VEGAS would sell just 5 tickets too doe
