  • Comments Thread For: Kanat Islam Struggles in Decision Win Over Walter Kautodonkwa

Kazakhstan - Kanat Islam is looking for a world title shot, and - after being sidelined for various reasons and left outside looking in by light middleweights - he is is planning a run in the middleweight division. At 35, time is ticking rapidly for him but as revealed by tonight's fight against Namibian Walter Kautodonkwa his world title shot can be a long shot. The proof of that in a slightly controversial decision win against former world title challenger was a stark reminder of that.

One of the worst robberies I have ever witnessed. Islam was beaten, exhausted, and literally running for dear life and almost ran out of the ring and mounted no defense or offense. A minimum of 6 rounds were ridiculously one-sided. This was a complete mismatch in the ring. Someone should be arrested for allowing this crime to take place against Walter.

It was fight of two halves. Islam clearly won first 5 (At least 4 of them), Kautondokwa clearly won last 5 (At least 4).
Islam also had a knock-down, which might've been the difference.

I had it to Walter by 1 point, but He can't complain. He started too late.
Walter clearly won 6 rounds starting with the 5th round and before that at least one round and should have been given a couple 2 point rounds for beating Islam from pillar to post for 6 rounds.
