I used to think he was just a powerful plodder in there but Beterbiev is far from that. He's a calculated killer that breaks you down physically and mentally. I am now a fan

Wow, Gvozdyk finished Stevenson's career for nothing. He fought smart early on, but as Ward mentioned...he seemed timid like a little brother who knew he couldn't beat his big brother.

Can't believe he packed it like that when Beterbiev stepped on the gas. He literally had Beterbiev confused and stopping in his tracks early on, then his mind got the best of him. Smh

Gvozdyk had absolutely nothing on Beterbiev
He’s lucky that the usual Beterbiev was not there last night
Usually Beterbiev does his mauling early and this would of been over by the 6th round
Beterbiev is on a mission and nobody can stop the beast
This has been coming for years

Just enjoy King Artur’s destruction and mostly don’t get in his way
        You’ll just be trampled over

Calm down. He didn't have his way with Gvodzyk early in the fight for obvious reasons....it's not like he was holding out til the end, he had to find his way inside.

He took a lot of shots early on, but let's be honest, Gvodzyk didn't sit down on a lot of those shots because he had to be ready to use lateral movement right after.

Credit to Artur for making adjustments (working the body) and closing the fight in dramatic fashion.

Some of you guys are such fans of fighters not the sport in and of itself, and it shows in posts like yours. Again, calm down.

Have you seen other fights from Beterbiev ?
He usually goes on his mauling attack early but that was not the case here
Personally , I think Beterbiev should Gvozdyk to much respect from the get go
Beterbiev always takes many shots ( all his fights ) to get on the inside and release one of his own
Nothing to do with being a fan of a boxer , just basing my comments from having seen the man fight many times
