    The quarter-finals for the light heavyweight edition of the huge #GoldenContract have been confirmed. Eight high-class hopefuls from the 175lb division will compete for a lucrative deal with one of the world's top promoters at the Brentwood Centre on December 14 live on Sky Sports in the UK in association with Matchroom Boxing and on ESPN+ in the US in association with Top Rank.

          You’ve missed the point. This is meant to be an also-ran tournament. MTK will stick a few of their fave prospects in here but they’ll get KO’d by the better but less popular fighters

            I hope Liam Conroy gets to get revenge on Ward. That was one of many bad MTK judging decisions I’ve seen recently. The ref even tried to fix the final round before he stopped for the cut to ensure Ward won that round

                Not one credible prospect among them. If they were at least able to get 3-4 up and comers who have recognition then maybe it could be something.
                But when do these round-robins between club fighters ever produce any world-beaters?
                The Contender series might have been a commercial success with a generous prize, but failed to uncover any serious talent.
