The former two-division titlist suffered an untimely hand injury on Monday, a source from within the boxer's camp has informed BoxingScene.com. The severity of the injury is still to be determined, but is enough to force him out of Saturday's ESPN+ headliner in Philadelphia, Pa.

The way Carl Frampton suffered the fractures to his left hand today is 1 for the books. Frampton was sitting in the lobby of his Philadelphia hotel. Someone accidentally bumped into some sort of concrete structure & knocked it over. Somehow, it fell on Frampton's hand.
