  • Comments Thread For: WBC Suspends Dillian Whyte's Position as Interim-Champ, Mandatory

An "A" Sample UKAD collected from Mr. Dillian Whyte in relation with his bout against Oscar Rivas yielded an adverse finding. In light of that adverse finding, and pending the outcome of the WBC's own investigation and adjudicatory process, the WBC is provisionally suspending the WBC's recognition of Dillian Whyte as WBC Interim World Heavyweight Champion and Mandatory Challenger of the division.

This will be interesting. After all the whining to get to where he got, he'd better have a good explanation.
He's not Canelo, so I don't think he'll be given the benefit of the doubt, so he had better have an iron clad excuse.
Also the BBBoC better get a decent lawyer, if it turns out they let him fight knowing he had drugs in his system, as Rivas and camp won't be happy.

Its always about the B sample.

Don't see why they couldn't wait til the test result for that comes through.

If it's clear then all this brouhaha will have been for nought!

Lol obviously the right call but where was all this energy when Canelol got popped? They actually came out and defended the cheating diva.

Whytes team knew this might happen. It's why they told him not to cut his hair.

It really is nothing more than a temporarily suspension unless Whyte's B sample ends up being dirty as well. Granted, B samples are usually the same as the A samples but we have seen in some cases that not be the case.

The WBC pretty much had no choice but to do this as of now.

Oh you didn't know boxing was corrupt? The mafia still runs this sport. Just five families turned into four and started calling each other the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO.

Whyte & his team are gonna claim confidentially with UKAD & BBBoC as a way to avoid presenting the WBC with evidence.

I don't get it either. Why was the fight allowed to proceed then? They must already know the results of the "B" sample.
